So rude and for what…. I came home to my cat having explosive diarrhea all over my house and hiding. I called asking if I should bring him in and the woman on the phone was being very short and rude with me. She said “if you think it’s an emergency, you can bring him in or you can wait to take him to the primary vet in the morning.” Then I told her I’m just not sure what constitutes an emergency when it comes to this kind of stuff like I don’t want him to wait if it’s truly an emergency, And she just said “like I SAID…” then repeated herself… Then when I said OK, thank you for your help. She just hung up on me fast asf without saying a word… like girl I’m asking YOU if you think it’s an emergency because I’m obviously not someone who works with animals??? The attitude is just crazy considering people could be calling on literally the worst day of their lives where their pet is really sick… like I’m literally sitting here stressed out about the fact that my cat Is obviously really sick and just asking if I should take him to the emergency room or wait… A little gentleness and patience could go a long way when people are clearly stressed out. I would spend so much money on my baby if I needed to, and I’m practically a destitute college student!!! Now you’re not getting ANY of my money!!! Boooo tomatoes tomatoes tomatoes 🍅🍅🍅🍅

We had to take our 7 year old aussie here today. They are a great company. They explained everything. He had ripped a toe nail and they took him straight in. No wait no apt needed. No hidden fees. Meds were given to take home and all questions answered with out any hesitation.

My 8 month old cat ate an ibuprofen tablet. I called poison control and they instructed me to go to an emergency vet and told me it was a very serious toxic exposure. A vet at poison control made a care plan for my cat and gave me a case number to give the emergency vet so they could access this care plan. I called this vet hospital to give them the poison control case number, and they were very disinterested and rude on the phone. No sense of urgency or care and basically treated me like I was an inconvenience. We waited for hours with little to no attention or update. They gave her fluids and drew blood. When they discharged my cat they said they “assume” the blood work was good because “the doctor didn’t say anything” and never gave us any proof. Told us to take her to our vet in the morning and get more blood work drawn? But gave us no indication as to why. Very strange and disapppinting experience. $800 for very poor service and care. I guess I will call and try to get records from the visit…

Incredibly thankful for the swift and urgent response to our pet emergency last night! Our puppy got into some xylitol at home, and we gave KEPC a call to see if we needed to come in. They advised us to come, and as soon as we walked in they got our sweet pup back to induce vomiting and monitor his blood sugar. While I could complain about the wait times and communication, they were incredibly busy, and gave us peace in a very scary moment. As a human healthcare worker, I know how busy and stressful this environment can be, and I commend the staff for their triage, assessment, and handling of our puppy. I would highly recommend them if you are in an EMERGENT situation overnight. Happy to say our Russell is happy as a clam this morning and doing well :)
